The Physical environment of Rainforests are by far the most diverse and complex environments that exist on earth. These biomes are home directly or indirectly of about 50 % to 90% of all living species on earth. Rainforests are essential biomes for keeping life on this planet and also for developing it since many important crops and domestic animals have been developed from native rainforest species. These biomes occupy around 6% of the earth and are consider the lungs of the world, since they take the Co2 produced by living things, such as animals and mostly humans (pollution) releasing oxygen to breathe and purifying our surrounding air. The biggest impact that humans are having now in Rainforests and changing all their physical environment is the increasing of deforestation because of the increasing of wood demand to build human houses or artifacts. Because of the increasing in deforestation in tropical rainforests, scientists calculated that about 40 species are perishing every day, and in about 50 years all rainforests will disappear from earth, causing us immense damage, since we will destroy many plants with the possibility to cure cancer or other important diseases. The physical environment of rainforests consist basically of plants ,trees and many kinds of diverse life, and scientists divide rainforests into “three floors”, the bottom floor, the medium floor and the high floor. The bottom floor is the one which contains plants that that don’t use a lot of sunlight and are easy for small insects to eat, the medium floor is mostly the middle part of the trees which is inhabited by animals who live in the tress to escape from predators and to eat the food produces by trees, such as fruits and also other plants such as orchids, which use the tree as a source of food and to also hide from predators. The high floor is mostly inhabited by flying insects that lives in the leaves of the trees, and is mostly composed by high trees who are the ones who absorb all the sunlight and are the ones that absorb the most the Co2, releasing oxygen through photosynthesis. </p>
<p>Rainforests are basically called like that since they produce a lot of rain, and this is because since they absorb the Carbon Dioxide (a Green House gas) and they expel pure oxygen as a waste product the air at the top of rainforests is much pure which decreases the temperature of the air at the top of rainforests allowing the clouds to condensate more easily, they are call “Heat absorbers”. Also rainforests are well know for having large and long rivers, sometimes created by the rain they produce, or sometimes, like in the case of the Amazon river in south America, by the falling of water from the high peaks of the Andes, water which then feats a very large part of the biggest tropical rainforest in the world, the Amazon. One of the biggest problems of Global warming is that if the high peaks melt, then there is not going to be more water falling from them, which might cause the Amazon river to disappear, causing extremely damage to the Amazon rainforest and the many species that live in there. Rainforests are also a main source of water. After the clouds had feed the rainforest with water, then the water that remained is evaporated again by the sun and take to other places of earth. Rainforest’s rivers are pure sources of water and we must not pollute these rivers if we want pure water and also a pure future for other generations. Humans are changing in many ways the physical environments of rainforests, from deforestation to the drying of rivers, we are killing the physical environment of many species, and we must stop that. Every time we destroy a tree we are adding to the global warming problem, since a vast amount of the tree’s biomass is composed by CO2, and when we cut down a tree we release all that Co2 into the atmosphere, and also because that tree is not going to have the capacity anymore to absorb that Co2, only adding to the problem. Only last year fires in the Amazon caused by humans produced 500 million tons of C02, estimated to be 10% of the world's total annual atmospheric emissions because of the release of CO2 from trees, that‘s why every time we burn or cut a tree we are not only releasing more Co2 but also cutting the instrument which converts Co2 into pure oxygen for us to breathe. The soils in the Rainforests are very unfertile, and even thou many plants and trees life there, the type of soil makes it a very vulnerable environment to be destroyed. Almost as soon as something dies in the rainforest it is reabsorb by other plants or animals because of the lack of nutrients and minerals in the soil. If we dry the rivers of the rainforests we are going to make those soils even more unfertile and dry not only causing the death of many plant species, but also wasting a vast amount of land that could be use for agriculture or other clean processes.</p>
